Treasurer and SYSOP, 4People
4People is an online Information & Referral (I & R) database covering all of Washington State. 4People.org also provides Online Community Networking (e.g. Case Management), Homeless shelter management, is HMIS and HIPAA compliant, and allows for and encourages grass roots participation.
Designed and implemented a county portal system that allows for I & R data searches that are county specific as well as printable county resources, family printable directories, and a national hotlines list. The SYSOP (System Operator) duties include vendor interface (VisionLink) to ensure data integrity, implementation of upgrades and system modifications, liaison between 4People customers and VisionLink, development and distribution of user manuals and other training materials, and security and maintenance of 4People.org servers.

Executive Director, RECA Foundation.
This is a full time, volunteer (i.e. without pay) position. Designed and started The Columbia Free-Net (formerly the Tri-Cities Free-Net). TCFN has been in continuous operation since September, 1992 and was the first Free-Net in Washington State.

Internationally recognized for a number of community networking initiatives including starting ten Community Technology Centers, a Computer Reuse Program, the Columbia Basin Public Information Network (CBPIN), Adopt-a-Page (supporting other non-profits), Youth Programs, and an Abilities Center providing assistive technologies for the disabled.
Extensive experience in training individuals and groups in the use of technology and the Internet. Heavily involved in Community Education as an instructor and an Advisory Council member for several years. Instrumental in providing assistive technology to the physically and mentally disabled - especially the sight impaired and physically challenged. Personally responsible for upgrading and networking the computer systems at the local YMCA, Richland Housing Authority, the Arborwood Family Learning Center. Upgraded computer systems for other non-profit agencies including the local Volunteer Center, several community technology centers, and other health and social service agencies. A world leader in fighting for the "have-nots" of the information age - The Last Mile?   is an example. Manager, Staffing Research - Battelle Memorial Institute, Pacific Northwest Laboratories, Richland, Wa.
Position self created - Provided statistical data on recruitment costs and effectiveness (cost/hire, advertising effectiveness, open house/job fair effectiveness, research/search firm effectiveness, online advertising effectiveness, etc.).
Established an on-line, modem access, information and referral service to assist in the recruitment process. Established and maintained other BBS sourcing, advertising, and data base research capability (Dialog, Nexus, etc.).
Established the first Hanford Recruiter Roundtable as an ongoing process. Significantly increased the efficiency of the recruitment process through information sharing and coordinating other assets. Established the first ever national recruiter roundtable for the DOE contractors. Broke down the perceived wall of competition among recruiters and installed a collaborative network in its place.

Technical consulting activities include: competitive intelligence reports and assessments on DOD companies, technical reports and assessments in AntiSubmarine and Submarine Warfare areas, trade show and symposia evaluations, confidential evaluation of other companies and consultants (for teaming arrangements and technical assistance).
Business consulting activities: computer data base management, information management, requirements analysis, and human resource management.
Contract recruiting and executive search services: Executive level search in all areas. Specialize in companies dealing with DOD and DOE. Heavy experience in Nuclear Reactor Technology (DOE) and Navy ASW (DOD) business areas. Some additional services include: evaluation of current recruiting practices (including use of employment agencies, executive search firms and executive search researchers), planning and executing mail campaigns, training corporate recruiters, establishing and maintaining a recruiting data base, on-line computer networking, and long range personnel planning (ensuring coordination with other corporate strategic plans).
